Noting that (i) the \u201csuperego\u201d \u201creacts\u201d with \u201cnegating compensations\u201d, (ii) the \u201cself\u201d \u201cacts\u201d upon its view of the world that is \u201c11\/12th<\/sup>s wrong\u201d, and (iii) the \u201cego\u201d is unable to \u201cround & balance\u201d its development until (post++)-teenage, it soon becomes obvious that all of the world\u2019s \u201cunnecessary suffering\u201d can be traced to the \u201csuperego-self complexes\u201d of tin-pot \u201cregressive\u201d authority figures. What, then, to do about one\u2019s own \u201csuperego-ism\u201d &\/or \u201cself-ism\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, yes, we have been banging on about anti-clockwise psychological development for a couple of decades now, but we can\u2019t resist giving it another shot in the arm. The astrological \u201ctradition\u201d (that has, to an extent, extended into its \u201cmodern\u201d era) has failed to account for the \u201cego-Self axis\u201d\u2026 this is a significant reason why astrology is a no-no for theologians. CHAPTER 1: CAPRICORN ON THE M.C. THROUGH<\/u><\/strong>            Dec\/2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evolution can be \u201ctri-vided\u201d into running, hunting & mating but, in any event, many species, especially Homo sapiens, would evolve a \u201cpattern recognition\u201d capacity that assists all (3) vectors of survival. In Homo sapiens, \u201cpattern recognition\u201d leads to the \u201cintegration\u201d of (i) physical Darwinism & physical Lamarckism & (ii) (what Jung called) the psychological \u201cdivine drama\u201d that afflicts (heals?) its physical evolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHAPTER 2: AQUARIUS ON THE M.C. THROUGH<\/u><\/strong>                 Jan\/2027<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the \u201cgood\u201d aspects of the (structural, dynamic) \u201csuperego\u201d is that it can protect the \u201cneotenic\u201d (= human) psyche against the \u201811<\/u> tricks\u2019 & \u201812<\/u> confusions\u2019 that dominate the \u201craw\u201d archetypal realm. When Aquarius is placed on the M.C., however, this \u201cgood\u201d aspect can be compromised. The best approach is to examine \u201cnarcissism\u201d in an expansive way\u2026 \u201cprimary\u201d & \u201csecondary\u201d & \u201ctertiary\u201d (see: \u201cInterlude A\u201d)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHAPTER 3: PISCES ON THE M.C. THROUGH<\/u><\/strong>                       Feb\/2027<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The composing of this essay series, in large part, sources to our recent study of the birth horoscope of singer-songwriter, Joni Mitchell\u2026 specifically, the connections of (i) \u201cvisibility (yet-not<\/u>-consciousness)\u201d to the M.C., (ii) music to the sign, \u201812<\/u> Pisces\u2019, (iii) 1st<\/sup> personal musical taste to the sign, \u20182<\/u> Taurus\u2019, the 2nd<\/sup> house & Venus, & (iv) 1st<\/sup> personal maternal-emotional nourishment to the Moon\/I.C.\u2019s \u201cpath\u201d to the 5th<\/sup> house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHAPTER 4: ARIES ON THE M.C. THROUGH<\/u><\/strong>                          Mar\/2027<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the astrologer \u20181<\/u> begins\u2019 his\/her study, s\/he will view \u20181<\/u> Aries\u2019 as the sign of \u201cbeginnings\u201d. Fair enough\u2026 but, when s\/he considers Jung\u2019s \u201cfunctions\u201d (\u201csensing tells me that something exists\u2026\u201d), s\/he \u20181<\/u> begins\u2019 to wonder about the degree to which \u20181<\/u> Aries\u2019 is also the 4th<\/sup> sign of (what can called) the \u201ccollective sequence\u201d, Capricorn-Aquarius-Pisces-Aries. Things may not be \u201c(this time, it\u2019s) personal\u201d until \u20182<\/u> Taurus\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHAPTER 5: TAURUS ON THE M.C. THROUGH<\/u><\/strong>                       Apr\/2027<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given that \u201cauthority\u201d has, for centuries, preferred physical facts over the inner life (even to the point of rejecting inner life!), the Freudastrologer can only but worry when individuals who have the Bull on their (respective) M.C.s are in charge (this is a present-day problem). It gets even worse when we realize that this M.C. is necessarily paired with an \u20188<\/u> Scorpio\u2019 I.C., an angle that can only be growth-fully understood in immaterial terms.\u0452\ua75c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHAPTER 6: GEMINI ON THE M.C. THROUGH<\/u><\/strong>                         May\/2027<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the FA-er has cause to worry over the Bull M.C., s\/he might have double cause to worry over the Twins M.C., especially given the possibility that the Bull has been providing Gemini with philosophical support from the 9th<\/sup> house. The sooner that the Twins-M.C. individual experiences the balance of \u20187<\/u> Libra\u2019 on\/near his\/her ascendant the better and, with tricky Aquarius up ahead, let\u2019s hope that his\/her \u20187<\/u> experience\u2019 is \u201cgood\u201d.   <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHAPTER 7: CANCER ON THE M.C. THROUGH<\/u><\/strong>                        Jun\/2027<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancer on the M.C,, not dissimilar to Taurus on the M.C., has the problem of a \u201cdifficult\u201d sign, Capricorn, straddling the \u201cme-in-here\u201d I.C.. To deal with this difficulty well, the individual who is \u20184<\/u>–10<\/u>-ed\u2019 needs to make the most of his\/her 30\u00b0 of \u20187<\/u> Libra\u2019 on\/near his\/her ascendant. On the upside, and even if there is a degree of \u201ccompensation\u201d, \u20184<\/u>\u2019\u2019s \u201cpersonal-ness\u201d helps to remind him\/her that self-responsibility precedes social responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHAPTER 8: LEO ON THE M.C. THROUGH<\/u><\/strong>                            Jul\/2027<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who have Leo on their M.C., not dissimilar to those who have Cancer on their M.C., have the problem of a \u201cdifficult\u201d sign, Aquarius, on the I.C.. Freud had the fortune of having the rulers of his \u201cvertical axis\u201d, the Sun & Uranus, conjunct in the 7th<\/sup> house\u2026 most Leo on the M.C.s, however, don\u2019t have these \u2018beacons\u2019. Yep, they will have other natal placements that indicate a positive attitude to \u201ccomplexity\u201d. They will need them.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n
