Astro-diary XXXIX: the ‘6-6 interaction’ Aug/2025
2025 has two new Moons in Virgo, the 1st occurs near the cusp of Virgo and the 2nd occurs near the cusp of Libra. Through the intervening Moon-Sun inter-cycle, the “ruler” of Virgo, Mercury, will be transiting the sign of the Maiden to, thereby, place even more emphasis on ‘6’. Virginity has both somatic & psychological components… something that is to be expected from the archetype that points to psychosomatics.

Astro-diary XXXVIII: the ‘2-3 interaction’ Jul/2025
In June & July of 2025, Venus hovers near Uranus as both transit from Taurus into Gemini. With the element of ‘11 trickery’ in this transit, the Freudastrologer does well to (i) keep Jupiter’s transit of Cancer in his/her hermeneutic frame, and (ii) look forward to the eventual mid-August 2025 conjunction of Venus with Jupiter because, being “benefic”, they could ‘tag team’ a novel perspective of the “family romance”.

Astro-diary XXXVII: the ‘9-4 interaction’ Jun/2025
On 10/6/2025, Jupiter enters ‘4 Cancer’. With Jupiter symbolizing the psyche’s capacity to “bridge”, this yearlong transit symbolizes opportunities to re-consider the journey from ‘3 Gemini’ to ‘5 Leo’ (and, to their extents, the journeys from ‘2 Taurus’ to ‘6 Virgo’, ‘1 Aries’ to ‘7 Libra’ & ’12 Pisces’ to ‘8 Scorpio). In other words, this is a time when knowledge about the psychoanalytic “developmental sweep” can expand.

Those who hold the view that “collectivisms” – democracy, religion, socialism – are worth killing/dying for are, by definition, “not centroverted”. In zodiacal terms, the FA-er sees collectives & collectivistic astrologers, “believing” in “(soulless) billiard balls”, “stuck” in their respective ‘10–11–12–1–2–3 left hemispheres’, When there is no accounting of “superego construction”, bombs tick their ‘8 entropic-Plutonic’ timelines.

Interlude I: Extraversion – a beginning, not an end                    Feb/2026

Apologists for democracy insist that democracy does take “the individual” into account, at least compared to other collectivistic systems. However, because they only account for the rudimentary aspect of “individuality”, the power-hungry are quick to learn how to exploit it. In the 20^thC, the power-hungry saw socialism as an opportunity to hide their “compensations” and “seal them on the other side” with “projections”.

It is FA’s view that (at least, younger) Jung suffered a degree of “intro-centro-version conflation” because, when we read his essay on “introverted feeling”, one has the “feeling” of him describing “centroverted feeling”. Thus, Erich Neumann’s “The Origin & History of Consciousness” is the epilogue of “Psychological Types”. The key with ‘12-(into-1) non-dualism’ is to learn well about it without being hypnotized by it.

‘12 Piscean’ “non-dualism” is a curious term insofar as it gained traction in the West to render it distinct from ‘1 Arien’ “monism” (because E=MC², the “one thing” is ‘1-(5-9) energy’) to, between them, generate a “dyad”! This ‘12 confusing’ situation “masks” the psychological problem of ‘(12-to)-1’’s desire to be omnisciently ‘1 godlike’ that, for Jung, fuels much “mental illness”. The ‘(12)-1 ascendant’ is 11/12^ths wrong.

It is only at ‘2 Taurus’ that the Freudastrologer sees “extraversion” being fully established because, as Jung said it, “‘2 Taurean’ sensing tells me that something exists  (the world “out there”); ‘3 Geminian’ thinking tells me what it is (“irreducibly dual”), ‘4 Cancerian’ feeling tells me its value (“is a house also an ‘inner’ home”?); ‘5 Leonic’ intuition tells me whereto it is going (with Freud/J.C., “romancing ‘beyond’ family”).

It is only at ‘3 Gemini’ that the Freudastrologer sees “reductive science” being fully established because it pre-requires an “infantile” development of both ‘2 sensing’ & ‘3 thinking’. Also ‘at 3’, the distinction can be made between “eliminative science” (‘10’ & ‘11’) & “reductive science”. And, if the individual develops “feeling-intuition”, s/he self-corrects his/her “over-reduction” & grows up into “teleo-science” (‘6’ & ‘7’).

Interlude II: Centroversion – a midpoint, not a goal                       Jul/2026

Although the ‘5 Sun’ is an obvious source of ‘5 electro-weak energy’, we do well to remember that its “visible spectrum” is only a small slice of it. Moreover, the human eye can be “blinded” by the Sun if it looks straight at it. The Sun is best “understood” when it is considered through “reflectors” & “refractors”, such as the Moon, Mercury & Venus e.g. with Putin having Sun in Libra, is he “blind” to his ‘7 diplomatic talent’?

Because, geometrically, ‘4’ “understands” ‘10’, all expressions of ‘4’ – Cancer, the 4^th house, the Moon – have a role in the “understanding” of the ‘10 superego’. The journey from extraversion to centroversion leads to an under-standing of introversion and the key aspects of a superego, (i) “deeply unconscious”: wedged in between ‘8’ & ‘12’, (ii) “subconscious”: between id & ego, (iii) “aware”: handed-down morality, &…

(iv) “conscious”: the realization of the “how” of “superego construction” needs a “come as ye little children” attitude to the “centroverting” ‘5 inner child’. Even dogs can “play” with victory & defeat. With the ‘(9)-10 superego’ “judging” “self/pre-ego formations” by the standards of the ‘11 superego ideal’, the ‘(3)-4–5 ego’ does well to add ‘6-(7-8)’ to gain a “rounded” outlook on ‘11–10’’s “paranoid schizoid position”.

Although ‘5’’s creative “sublimation” is much desired, the individual would be unwise to take him/herself as both “fire-fully & earth-fully sublimated” until s/he has built an “ego foundation” from ‘4’ all the way up to the cusp of ‘7’. ‘6 Virgo’’s “earthy sublimation” is in full swing when the individual is willing to “suppress” his/her sexual instincts without suffering “regression-to-repression”. Subtle stuff, not for podiums.

What is the “worse” sin? “living in sin” or “marital pretentiousness”? Answer: more subtle stuff, not for the “holier than thous”. With depth psychology having been only with us for a century, pre-20^thC views of marriage have their “historical” defenses but, as successive 2^nd millennium centuries unfolded, intellectual (= “scholastic”) ideas undermined intuitive hearts. Ravenous wolves inside woolen jackets is “Freud 101”.

To some extent, the zodiac cycle is a map & the house system cycle (that echoes the zodiac) is a territory, but developmental astrologers focus on the map-ness of both (= leave “tenacious Mars effects” alone). We ponder the zodiac first because it is more “qualitative”… we live for “quality” (“(evidential) quantity” is psychological suicide). A seeker who loves his/her “unconscious” will consummate his/her “sacred marriage”.
